Answer for What is the difference between dry and wet cylinder liners

Dry liners are fitted in cylinder by pressing them. They are not able to establish contact directly with the water jacket. Wet liners are fitted after taking out the old liners. Therefore they have direct link with the water jacket. But these are to be fitted with water tight seals.
