Answer for What steps are taken to cool down the oil of a heavy engine?

(a) By crank case fins : Taper fins are built outside the crank case and oil is kept cold by increasing the area of cold air.
(b) By using a radiator: A small radiator is provided opposite the water radiator. It is directly linked to the passage where hot oil come back. Oil becomes cool here and then again goes into the engine.
(c) By making pipes along with the water jackets : In a few motor vehicles thin pipes are also provided along with the water jackets in the cylinder of engine. The oil of the engine passes through these pipes and in the process becomes cool.
