Answer for How does air cooling system cool the engine

For this system taper fins are made on all sides of the cylinder. Because of these taper fins, the area of the air that gathers around the cylinder increases, which is very much helpful in cooling the engine. As taper fins are thin at corners, the heat from cylinder rushes towards the edge. These ends, being thin, get cool quickly on coming into contact with the air. For the light engines, this system is quite suitable.
