An oil pump is used to supply lubricating oil in order to lubricate . the parts of an engine with pressure. This pump is generally fitted in the oil chamber. When engine starts, it functions through the camshaft. This pump supplies the oil filled in the chamber to the main oil gallery with great pressure. Thus lubrication oil reaches the different parts of the engine.
