(a) Fuel pump does not function Causes :
(i) There is some fault in the electric circuit.
(ii) Earthing is faulty.
(iii) C.B. point is not properly adjusted.
(iv) Diaphragm has become hard.
(b) Fuel pump does not give adequate petrol Causes:
(i) The filter net is clogged.
(ii) Non-return valve is leaking.
(iii) C.B. points are dirty or out of order.
(iv) There are tiny holes in the diaphragm.
